Bringing Mongolian Cuisine to Canberra

Canberra's food scene is about to get a delightful addition with the launch of a new Mongolian restaurant, spearheaded by three passionate individuals - Mugi, Gerel, and Ganby.


Mugi brings years of experience as a manager and chef in various restaurants in Canberra. His educational background in software engineering from Australian National University might seem unrelated, but Mugi's true passion lies in the culinary world. Starting as a cook in Italian and Japanese-based Asian restaurants, he has gained a diverse understanding of different cuisines and is now ready to introduce the unique flavours of Mongolian cuisine to Canberra.


Gerel, a recent MBA graduate in Business Analytics, has a wealth of experience working as a cook in a famous Italian restaurant. Her business acumen and culinary skills make her an invaluable asset to the team. Ganby, with his background in construction, brings a unique perspective and skill set to the table, and has always dreamt of starting a food business.


The trio's shared vision to bring Mongolian cuisine to Canberra is driven by their belief that this unique cuisine, with its distinct flavours and ingredients, would be a fantastic addition to the city's food scene. They have noticed a growing curiosity about Mongolian food among foreigners and see a great opportunity to introduce this exciting cuisine to the local community.


Their restaurant concept aims to provide an educational and delicious dining experience, showcasing the best of Mongolian cuisine. The team is working hard to bring their vision to life, and we can't wait to see what they have in store for us!
